Dustin Holst-Grubbe has been charged with assault of an elderly person, assault with a deadly weapon and home invasion, according to the Journal, which reported that he is accused of shooting the man during an alleged Aug. 4 break-in at the man’s Bridgewater, Connecticut, home.
The man, who was said to be about 65 years old, was shot in the shoulder and survived, according to the Journal.
Holst-Grubbe, who faces charges in both New York and Connecticut, turned himself over to New York authorities three days after the shooting, according to the Journal, which reported that he was turned over to police in Connecticut on Jan. 13 and is being held on $1 million bail.
